...PATCHY DENSE AND FREEZING FOG MAY DEVELOP BY WEDNESDAY
MORNING...
Good radiational cooling conditions overnight will likely support
at least patchy fog development focused along and south of I-85
including the Charlotte area. Fog may be locally dense with
visibility down to a quarter or less. Freezing fog is possible as
temperatures dip down to near or just below freezing overnight.
This may cause icy patches on roads that could make driving
hazardous in some locations.
If traveling, use caution, especially on bridges, overpasses, and
elevated highways where water freezes first. Do not assume that a
well traveled road will be free of ice.
