...The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued
a Flood Advisory for Saluda River At West Pelzer affecting Anderson
and Greenville Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

flood impacts, flood history, FEMA Flood Hazard Layers, and more,

The next statement should be issued late tonight before 1200 AM EDT.

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flood Advisory for
the Saluda River At West Pelzer.
* From this afternoon to just after midnight tonight.
* At 1:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 9.1 feet.
* Action stage is 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.1 feet
this evening.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet, The boat ramp located off of Adger Street is
inundated. Water is beginning to spread across the associated
parking lot and access road. Water is beginning to inundate the
lowest elevations of one backyard that borders the access road.
* Impact...At 10.8 feet, Arden Road in Greenville County will begin
to flood at its lowest elevation.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet, The woodlands along both sides of the river
are flooding. Water will enter a backyard of one home on Arden
Road near Culbertson road. Parts of Pelzer boat ramp and yards of
some homes along Adger Street will be flooded. Arden Road will be
flooded by a couple inches of flood waters.
