Q:
How Do I Make Hot Chocolate from Scratch?
Mmm!
Hot chocolate, the drinkable dessert I enjoy all winter. I go all out when it comes to this cozy sipper by using quality bars of chocolate, whole milk, whipped cream, mini marshmallows and a spoon (or peppermint stick) for getting out all that sweet sludge at the bottom of the mug. Here's how to make
my go-to recipe
.
Chop 4 oz. dark chocolate; add it to a small saucepan with 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 cup whole or 2% milk, and 3 Tbsp. sugar. Warm over medium heat until mixture comes to a simmer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir until smooth. Garnish however you like for one indulgent drink. Yum!
