View in browser|nytimes.com Continue reading the main story July 8, 2022 Dear Reader, The Learning Network has been through many iterations in its 23-year history, but there's one feature that has always been part of our offerings: our Word of the Day. During the 2021-22 school year, we made those words the foundation for a series of activities designed to help students go deeper into thinking about language than ever before. We invited them to learn new vocabulary and, via art, writing, storytelling, quizzes, video-making and more, have creative fun putting it to use. Although our challenges have ended, these activities are evergreen. We hope you can find some that work well for you. We hope your summer so far has been restful and restorative.
