German Apple Cake
After I visit the orchard this weekend, I'll be making this rustic German apple cake. It's made by layering apples, cinnamon and a rich batter in a Bundt pan (I love any excuse to use one of these pretty pans!). One twist with this recipe: The cake is served upside down so you can see all those spiced apples. Yum! —Lisa, Bakeable Editor

How to Get Bundt Cakes Out of the Pan
This week's apple cake uses a Bundt pan. We all love these pretty pans, but sometimes getting the cake out clean can be a challenge (I've flubbed it plenty of times!). To remove your cake cleanly, make sure you grease the pan well and have patience! If the cake doesn't pop out right away, invert the pan and let it cool on a wire rack. In time, the cake should slip out.
