SZA is the top nominee for the 66th annual Grammy Awards with nine nods for her album "SOS," which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

She leads a group of contenders that also includes Victoria Monét (with seven), as well as Jon Batiste, boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift (all with six apiece). Songs from the movie "Barbie" received 11 nods in seven categories.

Here's Ben Sisario on the big picture; Jon Caramanica, Joe Coscarelli and Jon Pareles on snubs and surprises, the full list of nominees in all 94 categories and highlights from our recent coverage of these artists. (And keep an eye out for a special Grammy Amplifier newsletter later today, guest written by Jon Pareles.)
