Accessible and engaging visual guides for readers

Dear Reader, How do you take a complex and nuanced New York Times article, video, podcast, graph or photo essay and turn its information and ideas into an accessible and engaging visual guide for readers? That's what we challenged students to do in our Second Annual One-Pager Challenge. The 1,430 contest submissions offered unique and distinctive takes by students around the globe on everything from the war in Gaza to the value of keeping browser tabs open. Our judges were dazzled by so much amazing work we received, often with stunning art and insightful commentary. We hope you'll take your time looking over the work of the 14 winners. Which ones interest you most? Which taught you something you didn't know? Which writing and design elements do you most admire? Congratulations to all our finalists, including 20 runners-up and 33 honorable mentions, and thank you to everyone who participated. Sincerely, The Learning Network | | RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS | | | | | | | | | |
