"I found one." Our eleven-year-old son, Joe, plucked a shiny orange egg from among the tulips, dropped it into his Easter basket, and dashed off to explore the next spot. My older brother, Doug, grabbed a blue egg from the crook in the locust tree. With a smirk, he stepped over and turned up the frond of a sword fern to discover a purple one.
