Happy rhubarb season! Do you grow rhubarb? Is yours coming up yet? We used to have a rhubarb patch growing up, and I still think about my mom harvesting the stalks every spring.
Whether you grow your own or buy it from the store, I'm excited to share our most popular rhubarb dessert with you: Rhubarb Custard Bars. It's a staff favorite (I remember people raving about it when I first joined the team almost ten years ago), and a fan favorite—check out that 4.9 star rating with over 150 reviews.
This easy layered dessert has a shortbread crust, creamy rhubarb filling and cream cheese frosting. It's a great potluck treat and totally screams spring.

From time to time, Bakeable members ask for high-altitude baking tips. Peggy recently emailed me about this, so I thought it was a good time to refresh our article. Follow our guidelines, and with some time and practice, you'll master high-elevation baking. And if you're closer to sea level, it's still an interesting read!
We love seeing what everyone has been baking lately in the Facebook group. We can tell a lot of people are dreaming about summer!
