Thursday, 30 April 2026 NOTE TO JOURNALISTS Seventy-ninth World Health Assembly, 18 to 23 May 2026 The Seventy-ninth World Health Assembly (WHA79) will convene from 18 to 23 May 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Palais des Nations and at the World Health Organization (WHO). The working hours will be from 09.00 to 12.00 and 14.30 to 17.30 CEST. The Health Assembly’s provisional agenda contains approximately 68 items and sub-items; the documentation – reports, conference papers, draft decisions and resolutions - will progressively be available on this page. Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. The Plenary and proceedings from Committees A and B will be webcast live on WHO’s website, where the recordings of past meetings will be made available as well. Access for journalists The Health Assembly is open to journalists with a valid accreditation by the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) in Geneva. You can upload your online application here; please indicate “WHA79” and input the dates 18 to 23 May 2026. Your application should contain a letter requesting accreditation on official letterhead signed by your editor-in-chief/Publisher/Assignment Editor or Bureau Chief specifying the names of your correspondents and the date and event for which you wish to be accredited.
